We are a family run business overlooking the beginning of the Great Australian Bight on the beautiful West Coast of South Australia. Mount Greenly Stonework began three years ago when we commenced building our house in the shadows of the majestic Mount Greenly, South Australia. The test holes that were first sunk showed a nice soft rubble base. What we soon discovered and what wasn't in the budget was a solid base of rock. After several long days and weeks of hammering and sustainable site excavation we were able to establish a strong base to begin building. We were so inundated with rock we started looking at many ways to recycle it or use it again in its natural environment.

We started cutting large pieces for landscaping and unwrapped the most amazing interiors. After two years of experimenting, upskilling and market feedback we finally got our pieces to a standard which we were satisfied with. Each day we are experiencing new discoveries with the inner beauty of each piece of stone and we love that the timeless splendour of the calcrete can be shared with others within their homes, businesses and own natural environment. So this is how the journey began and who would have known just how much we love it, the friendships it has created and the new found knowledge we continue to endure, especially about the beautiful landscape where we live.
